Compatibility

Compatible with JL Audio MX monoblock amplifiers and other specified JL Audio mono subwoofer amplifiers equipped with an appropriate remote bass control input. Does not work as a universal RCA inline control.

Function and Installation

The helm-mounted rotary control provides convenient on-the-fly adjustment of the connected amplifier’s bass output without changing the main source-unit volume.

It works through the matching remote bass control port, rather than acting as a universal speaker-level attenuator or line-level RCA volume knob.

Route the remote cable away from sharp edges, high-current wiring and sources of abrasion. Choose a location where the knob can be operated comfortably and the control body is protected from unnecessary exposure.

The exact control function depends on the compatible amplifier: some JL Audio models use remote input attenuation, while other models use it to adjust a bass-boost function. Consult the amplifier controls and instructions for system setup.
