Hertz HMX 8-LD-TW HMX 8" 100W RMS 4-Ohm Marine Coaxial Speakers with RGB LED Lighting, Total White, Pair (78040331)

The Hertz HMX 8-LD-TW 8-inch HMX marine coaxial speakers deliver high-output, full-range sound for boats and other exposed audio installations. This pair combines UV-resistant cone and grille materials, a high-excursion woofer, and a neodymium tweeter for reliable audio coverage around the vessel. The integrated RGB lighting adds multicolor illumination controlled through compatible marine RGB hardware.

Key Features

• Sold as a pair (two coaxial speakers); RMS and peak ratings refer to each speaker.
• 100W RMS and 200W peak handling per speaker, with 4-ohm nominal impedance.
• UV-inhibited polypropylene woofer cone with co-molded Santoprene rubber surround.
• Aramid-fiber spider with silicone-insulated lead wires and marine-grade polymer basket.
• 1.4-inch neodymium-magnet tweeter with PEI dome and acoustic lens to improve off-axis listening.
• Protective stainless-steel tweeter mesh and corrosion-resistant gold-plated terminals.
• Sealed crossover with resettable tweeter protection; infinite-baffle optimized construction.
• IP65 water-jet protection, UV-resistance testing (ASTM D4329) and salt-fog testing (ASTM B117).
• Tone-on-tone total white grille finish.
• Integrated RGB LED lighting under the tweeter diffusion element; requires suitable RGB lighting wiring/controller.

Installation Considerations

• Install both speakers in sufficiently rigid baffles with recommended cutout and rear mounting clearance.
• Connect each 4-ohm driver to a suitable amplifier output; use appropriate high-pass filtering for the chosen acoustic installation.
• Seal panel penetrations and protect terminal connections from accumulated water and corrosion.
• Provide a separate 12V-compatible RGB lighting circuit; Hertz HM RGB 1 BK is an optional compatible color controller.
