Rhodan G52W48108 G5.2 GPS Anchor 120 lb Thrust Saltwater Trolling Motor, 48V, 108" Shaft, White
The Rhodan G52W48108 Gen5 V2 GPS Anchor trolling motor is a white, 48V bow-mount system with a 108-inch shaft engineered for boats that need dependable GPS positioning and controlled low-speed maneuvering. It combines virtual anchoring with manual steering, heading-based track operation, route memories, a wireless control fob, and app-based operation. The 108-inch shaft is intended to help keep the propeller submerged on boats with higher bow profiles, while the integrated sliding mount provides more flexible stowage and deployment.
Key Features & Benefits
- HD GPS Anchor Positioning: Automatically adjusts steering and propulsion to work toward holding the bow near a selected GPS location in changing wind and current.
- Precise Anchor Jogging: Directional commands in Anchor Mode shift the target anchoring position in 5-foot increments.
- Multiple Navigation Modes: Manual, Anchor, Track, and Route modes support direct control, position holding, heading control, and stored-path use.
- Wireless FOB and Mobile App: Operate the motor from the included Bluetooth wireless controller or the Rhodan app for compatible iOS and Android devices.
- Onboard E-Paper Display: Base-mounted display and buttons report battery voltage, current draw, thrust setting, GPS data, wireless status, and diagnostic messages.
- Integrated 10-Inch Sliding Base: Sliding base moves the motor forward and backward between locked positions to assist deployment, stowage, and dock clearance.
- MFD Connectivity: Gen5 supports compatible Simrad, Lowrance, and Raymarine multifunction-display integration; configuration depends on the connected system.
- Saltwater-Ready Construction: 316 stainless steel steering components, protective lower-unit coating, composite shaft, and sacrificial anodes support demanding marine use.
- Weedless Propeller and Speed Control: Three-blade weedless propeller with 32 forward and 16 reverse speed settings for fine maneuvering.
- Made in Sarasota, Florida: Rhodan manufactures and supports Gen5 motors in Florida using U.S. and globally sourced components.

Compatibility
Requires a dedicated 48V DC trolling motor power system, with batteries, cabling, and 60A overcurrent protection sized for the installation. The 108-inch shaft should be matched to the boat’s bow height and expected offshore operating conditions; shaft length alone does not establish vessel suitability. Compatible MFD control is available through supported Simrad, Lowrance, and Raymarine equipment. The motor is not a direct 12V or 24V substitute. The optional Rhodan SRQ mount is an accessory, not the same as the included sliding quick-release bracket.
Installation & Setup
Measure bow height and select a mounting position with sufficient swing, deck reinforcement, and underwater propeller clearance. Secure the quick-release mount, route wiring above decks using manufacturer-recommended cable sizing, and fit a 60A breaker appropriately rated for the system voltage. Perform the manufacturer’s GPS/compass and motor calibration procedures before relying on automatic anchor or track operation; maintain the lower unit, anodes, and propeller as instructed. Disconnect motor power before charging or maintenance.
