Compatibility

Compatible JL Audio MediaMaster source units supporting MMR-40 NMEA 2000 remote control. Does not operate as a standalone stereo; a host source unit and appropriate network connection are required.

Operation and Network Integration

A remote helm installation provides control of the source unit without running separate audio-source wiring to the remote. The display and controls communicate with the host through the NMEA 2000 connection.

Eight pushbuttons and a three-way rotary knob facilitate source selection, playback and menu navigation from the secondary station. The controller has independent day/night display themes and backlighting settings.

The remote must be connected to a host-compatible MediaMaster stereo. For an existing vessel backbone, use the correct NMEA 2000 drop and power arrangement; for a simple one-remote installation, JL Audio offers an MMC-PN2K powered network cable, sold separately.

Plan for the faceplate and rear clearance when cutting the mounting opening, and position the sun cover so it can be fitted when the vessel is not in use.
