Each 7.7-inch speaker is rated for 100W RMS continuous power at 4 ohms. Integrated RGB lighting adds selectable illumination through compatible external lighting control hardware. The sport gray grilles complement boat interiors while the UV-stabilized materials withstand exposure to spray, sunlight and salt air.

Key Features

Two-way marine coaxial design with long-excursion woofer and neodymium tweeter

100W RMS continuous / 200W peak per speaker, 4-ohm nominal impedance

Corrosion-resistant gold-plated terminals and sealed integrated crossover

Polypropylene cone with UV inhibitors and co-molded Santoprene rubber surround

Aramid-fiber spider, silicone-insulated lead wires and marine-grade molded basket

IP65 water-jet resistance and UV / salt-fog resistance

Stereo pair sold together

Integrated RGB LED lighting for color customization with a compatible controller

Second-generation (.2) model with redesigned Sport grille and revised protected crossover

Updated neodymium high-frequency system with enhanced off-axis dispersion

1.4-inch PEI dome tweeter with acoustic lens for high-frequency dispersion

Technical Specifications

Continuous power handling: 100W RMS per speaker

Peak power handling: 200W per speaker

Nominal impedance: 4 ohms

Configuration: 2-way coaxial, pair

Water protection: IP65

Marine qualification: UV resistance ASTM-D4329; salt fog ASTM-B117

Cone material: polypropylene with UV inhibitors

Surround: Santoprene elastomer

Tweeter magnet: neodymium

Grille finish: Sport Gray

RGB LED lighting: yes

Size: 196mm (7.7 in.)

Frequency response: 45Hz–25kHz

Sensitivity: 91dB

Overall diameter: 196mm (7.72 in.)

Mounting-hole diameter: 158mm (6.22 in.)

Mounting depth: 79mm (3.11 in.)

Woofer voice coil: 32mm (1.26 in.)

Tweeter diaphragm: 36mm (1.4 in.)

Tweeter voice coil: 20mm (0.8 in.)

Re: 3.3 ohms

Fs: 60Hz

Vas: 12.5L

Mms: 22g

Cms: 0.32mm/N

BL: 6T·m

Qts: 0.72

Qes: 0.76

Qms: 11.8

Le: 0.56mH

Generation: second-generation .2

Updated crossover: sealed and protected, with resettable solid-state tweeter protection

Updated grille: gray parametric mesh Sport grille

Compatibility

4-ohm-rated marine amplifiers, stereo receivers, and speaker outputs

Hertz HM RGB 1 BK or compatible multicolor LED controllers

Installation Guidance

Use a 4-ohm-compatible channel for each speaker and select amplifier power appropriate to 100W RMS per speaker

Choose a high-pass crossover to protect midbass cones from excessive sub-bass excursion

Match mounting hole, speaker depth and panel thickness to Hertz dimensional drawings

Secure wiring, use marine-rated terminations and seal deck or bulkhead penetrations

Feed RGB lighting from a properly fused 12V lighting supply and compatible RGB controller; audio terminals and lighting wires are separate

https://shipsound.com/products/hertz-hmx-7-7-s-ld-g-2-7-7-100w-rms-4-ohm-2-way-marine-coaxial-speakers-with-rgb-led-lighting-sport-gray-grilles-pair-78040333
